Entitled Tactica Aeronautica, it is a 128-page colour hardback that expands the Warhammer 40k game and features extra aircraft, scenarios, rules and lots of hobby material - as well as a brand-new campaign narrative to enjoy, and a variant campaign system for you to play.
You can find your first sneak preview of the cover here, and more detail on the book will be coming soon.
Other new releases we are hoping to have ready for Games Day include exciting new releases for the Death Korps of Krieg, the Eldar, and the Imperial Guard as well as new models for Aeronautica Imperialis.

Nederlanders ontwikkelen "zombieburger"

Een groep Nederlandse wetenschappers werkt in laboratoria volop aan de ontwikkeling van een zogenaamde zombieburger. Dat is vlees dat volledig in een laboratorium "gekweekt" wordt. Het gaat dus om echt vlees, geen vervangproduct op basis van soja. Voor deze vorm van gedeeltelijke veeteelt, hebben de wetenschappers enkel wat stamcellen nodig van de dieren die ze later op hun bord willen. De universiteit van Maastricht maakt zich in het wetenschappelijk tijdschrift Scientific American sterk dat het binnen het jaar de eerste volledig synthetische biefstuk klaar kan hebben. Event - Carnaval Tongeren 2025

Ja, het is weer die periode van het jaar dat Limburgers, Brabanders en vele andere feestzielen wekelijks ergens carnaval kunnen gaan vieren. Tongeren, Aalst en vast nog heel andere plaatsen openden dit jaar gezamenlijk het eerste carnavalsweekend. Aangezien ik de afgelopen weken weer 7 op 7 aan het werk was en ook de dag ervoor nog een Experience Day had, maakte ik van de gelegenheid gebruik om te genieten van enkele drankjes en van de heerlijke voorlentezon ipv enkel door de zoekers van de camera's te staren.  Bovendien was het ditmaal zo ongezien druk in de straten door de duizenden bezoekers dat een drankje meer dan nodig was om de introversie te overwinnen en me door de massa te wringen. Noem je bedankt worden in booze in ruil voor een foto: " corruptie "? In dat geval ben ik iedere carnaval erg corrupt.. and just let me enjoy it ! It was during a warm November month in the Osaka -region that I finally started appreciating Autumn and the warmth of it's colours .  This year the extreme drought is giving September the first hint of those same colours. Ook in 2025 organiseerde de Landcommanderij Alden Biesen een gemaskerd bal. Ditmaal stond de Soirée Masquée helemaal in het teken van Giacomo Casanova en de Rococo . Denk aan krullende pruiken, kniekousen, baljurken die bigger than life zijn en al die aandacht voor details waar de adel uit 1750 voor bekend stond. En geloof me vrij: sommige kostuums en looks waren adembenemend. Nominaties Strippublieksprijs 2009

Voor de Strippublieksprijs 2009 zijn de volgende artiesten genomineerd. Striptekenaar Dick Heins, het stripduo Minck Oosterveer en Willem Ritstier en de journalist/auteur Geert de Weyer. Uit het juryrapport: Dick Heins is genomineerd voor zijn bijdrage aan de reeks 'Klein Suske en Wiske' . Samen met Jeff Broeckx is hij verantwoordelijk voor de voortzetting van deze succesreeks. Minck Oosterveer en Willem Ritstier zijn genomineerd voor het initiëren van twee nieuwe reeksen nadat de voorpublicatie van Nicky Saxx werd stopgezet. Geert de Weijer is genomineerd voor de redactie en samenstelling van het opmerkelijke boek '100 Stripklassiekers' dat vorig jaar werd gepubliceerd. Het stripminnend publiek bepaalt ook dit jaar zelf wie de winnaar wordt. Anime op Anima 2009

De nieuwe Miyazaki open het animatiefilmfestival van Brussel Anima 2009 pakt dit jaar opnieuw uit met een bijzondere avant-première. Het festival opent met ‘ Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea’ de allernieuwste film van Hayao Miyazaki ( Spirited Away, Howl's moving castle ,...), een Japanse anime voor jong en oud over een jongetje en zijn vriendschap met een prinsessen-goudvis. De film zat in september ‘08 in competitie op het Internationaal Filmfestival van Venetië. Van dezelfde auteur worden eveneens Spirited Away en Howl's Moving Castle in matineevoorstelling vertoond. Daar bovenop stelt Anima niet minder dan zes nieuwe Japanse langspeelfilms voor, die nog niet in België werden uitgegeven. Drie van hen nemen deel aan de competitie, de andere drie zijn langspeelfilms van Naruto, aan wie Anima dit jaar hulde brengt.
