Last Thursday the tiny dirt road I needed to take was blocked by a concrete barricade. I cursed ( several times ) and then I thought: " That's actually a cool barricade for a Warhammer 40k shoot. " So I got out of the car, took a picture and had an even worse idea. It took 2 old urbex pictures from back in 2016 and the new concrete slab cellphone photo plus some Photoshop compositing magic to let Firefly AI finalize this composition into the kind of Space Hulk tunnel I wanted. Then I combined 2 stills from @Kyden_cosplay 's props + Cadian commissar cosplay ( made during @GeekVillagebelgium + @GeeksandFreaksnl ) and noticed I had not photographed his legs, so I added the lower part from a macrophoto of a commissar-miniature I had shot during Trolls-et-Légendes ( Sorry, don't know who painted it ). Aan de advance order miniaturen te zien, zullen de rassen behoorlijk compatibel blijven en is er vooral geschaafd en geschroefd aan de gevechtsregels om nog beter precies dat te doen waarvoor Warhammer de laatste jaren bekend is geworden: toernooien en wedstrijden. Enkel hele oude gamers zullen zich de Squats, of Space Dwarves / Space Dwarfs uit het allereerste Warhammer 40k handboek nog herinneren. Er waren zelfs miniaturen van op de markt van deze kleine vechtjassen met grote bolters. Op een dag besloot Games Workshop om het ras te laten uitsterven... en de Squats verdwenen uit het 41e millennium. Of toch niet? Soms zit er een foto in een nieuwsbrief waarvan je gewoon niet anders kan dan hem publiceren. Reeds in september 2006 berichtten we over de Death Korps of Krieg, Forgeworld's Imperial Guard-afdeling voor Warhammer 40k die alle grimmigheid van Wereldoorlog I-soldaten op haar schouders droeg.
