Aeria Games Unveils Dungeons in Upcoming Golden Age

Instances Among Expansive Features Packed into Exclusive Web RTS Title

 Aeria Games, a leading global publisher of free-to-play online games, today released new details about Golden Age, its upcoming exclusive browser-based, real-time strategy (RTS) title. Golden Age features a host of expansive role-playing game (RPG) elements, surprisingly in-depth strategy-based warfare, and dozens of instanced dungeons for players. When not fighting other players in the epic Battlefield or conquering pirate encampments for valuable treasures, players must lead armies through challenging instanced dungeons. Players must enter instances by conversing with a non-playable character (NPC) in Sanctum City, Golden Age’s side-scrolling, RPG-style town.

Instanced dungeons in Golden Age allow players to:
  • Defeat Rebels – Ambush hideouts to defeat rebellious hordes of traitors that threaten the safety of your citizens.
  • Deploy Your Troops – Dispatch defensive or offensive armies of infantry, cavalry, archers, mages, swordsmen, pikemen, heavy ballistae and more.
  • Earn Rewards – Win gear and other valuable rewards for your bravery.
Golden Age will be available exclusively at Aeria Games and will not require a download. Interested players should visit the website to sign up for Closed Beta: http://goldenage.aeriagames.com.

A heads-up: on November 17th 2024 we'll be hosting a videobooth on Geek Village ( Thor Central, Genk ) in room 12 ( named Trovao ). It will be the 1st time we put the 360° videobooth on a fair.. so it's somewhere between in between scary & exciting. Event - Les fêtes médiévales de Binche (2024)

Let's be really quick and dirty about this event: ▼ There was was an ice-cold wind, but most of the day it was dry, △ Each time the sun showed itself it was wonderful and we all smiled, △ Got a superb medieval cape that really helped against the wind, △ Great food ( including pancakes! ) and too much mead to taste, △ Überfriendly people ( visitors, reenactors, larpers & vendors.. sorry, I didn't run into anyone of the organisation, n or crew ) △ Excellent location: high upon the ramparts of the old city, △ Parked by accident right behind the corner of the event, △ Free parking, free toilets, and a fountain that will be useful during a future hot edition , △ Music by Skayrish , cannon fire, birds of prey, throwing things ( a bad combination with mead ),.. △ A fun afternoon eventhough it was tiny. . .   Let's provide you a few links: ▷ All photos can always be found on/downloaded from my Flickr and here ! ▷ A " How to download stills from Flickr ...

Collab - Verbeke Foundation cosplay day 2024

A few weeks ahead of the first cosplay shoot day of 2024 in the Verbeke Foundation I had wisely estimated that I would run into & make pictures of 10% of all cosplayers. That was a gross misestimation.. I think it's closer to 5%. Every edition organizer Geert seems to double the number of participants. I still don't know how he manages, but kudos for gathering somewhere around 240 participants. Japan, het is een wereld die we als Westerlingen nooit zullen vatten. We lezen massaal de manga’s en de hentai. We kijken naar de anime. We worden overweldigd door de films die zich wentelen in extreem geweld, ongrijpbare horror en magistrale, epische schoonheid. Takashi Miike, Hideo Nakata en Akira Kurosawa. Collab - D'Ursel cosplay day (2024)

Eventhough many September days in 2024 feel more like November days, on Sunday the 15th it was good to be outside. Outside in the park of castle d'Ursel in Hingene the infamous Geert had gathered yet again a mass of cosplayers & photogs and as always I had hidden my set, this time behind an old wall. No line of sight onto the castle, but perfect for " Cosplayers with natural light " & some " Extreme shoot through ". Why not use the castle as a backdrop, you might ask?  It's a pretty castle, yes. It has one really interesting side, alas it was too crowded to build a set & get a constant, uninterupted view. On a quiet day I'll gladly combine the front of the castle with an epoque gown.. but that Sunday was NOT a quiet day. Body-Art Festival

In een klein dorpje nabij Mechelen verzamelen zich sinds 2000 ieder jaar opnieuw een keur aan bodypaint- en make-upartiesten voor de laatste grote Europese wedstrijd van het jaar: de felbegeerde Body Artist Award. Op 12 november kan het publiek deze levende kunstwerken bewonderen tijdens het ganse scheppingsproces, zichzelf laten grimeren, deelnemen aan workshops en de mooiste bodypaints vastleggen op de gevoelige plaat. Eigenlijk zijn er zo 4 titels om te verdelen: één voor de mooiste airbrush, één voor het beste spons & penseelwerk, één in de categorie special effects en een laatste voor de mooiste festivalfoto. In elke discipline mogen amateurs, studenten en (semi) pro's zich met elkaar meten. Wees er dus tijdig bij, alvorens deze creaties voor altijd verdwijnen onder een warme douche. Wijziging in de releasedatum voor Playstation3

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) maakte deze week bekend dat de releasedatum voor de PLAYSTATION® 3 is gewijzigd in Europa, Rusland, het Midden Oosten, Afrika, Australië en Nieuw-Zeeland van 17 november 2006 naar maart 2007. De release data in Japan en Noord-Amerika blijven ongewijzigd, op respectievelijk 11 en 17 november. De verschuiving van de releasedata in de SCEE gebieden wordt veroorzaakt door een vertraging in de productie van de blauwe laser diode binnen de Sony Groep. Hierdoor komt de verkrijgbaarheid van belangrijke onderdelen voor de PLAYSTATION 3 in het gedrang. De eerder aangekondigde wereldwijde verscheping van 6 miljoen PLAYSTATION 3 eenheden voor het eind van het fiscale jaar 2007 blijft ongewijzigd.
