Vampire Rain (XBox360)


Vampire Rain, developed by Artoon and published by AQ Interactive is a survival horror game featuring 3rd-person military gameplay. The game is set in a rain-soaked city, inhabited by a mysterious, deadly, not to mention hideous threat - the vampire-like Nightwalkers. Stealth is a necessity in Vampire Rain – the Nightwalker’s abilities far outstrip those of the player and are only weakened by rainfall. In order to succeed players will need to master the use of Necrovision, which distinguishes humans from Nightwalkers. And pray for rain.

Collab - Animating the Imperial Guard (The AI dilemma)

Last Thursday the tiny dirt road I needed to take was blocked by a concrete barricade. I cursed ( several times ) and then I thought: " That's actually a cool barricade for a Warhammer 40k shoot. " So I got out of the car, took a picture and had an even worse idea. It took 2 old urbex pictures from back in 2016 and the new concrete slab cellphone photo plus some Photoshop compositing magic to let Firefly AI finalize this composition into the kind of Space Hulk tunnel I wanted. Then I combined 2 stills from @Kyden_cosplay 's props + Cadian commissar cosplay ( made during @GeekVillagebelgium + @GeeksandFreaksnl ) and noticed I had not photographed his legs, so I added the lower part from a macrophoto of a commissar-miniature I had shot during Trolls-et-Légendes ( Sorry, don't know who painted it ). The magic of Photoshop, Luminar Neo and Firefly got me the character and heroic pose I wanted. Then I had Photoshop combine, relight & harmonize both comp...

It was during a warm November month in the Osaka -region that I finally started appreciating Autumn and the warmth of it's colours .  This year the extreme drought is giving September the first hint of those same colours. A perfect opportunity to visit the famous Japanese garden of Hasselt and reminisce about those days in Nara with the deer strolling through the parks and streets.. except in Hasselt it weren't deer posing for the cameras but cosplayers.  Yes; this was my weekend number 5 in a row with a costume event. Allow me to sum up a few ingredients that make several ( outdoors ) costume events very enjoyable: No rain + casual strolls through a gorgeous location + drinks with nice people + casually making a photo of a splendid or funny or catchy constume + decent food + things to do/see + musical (re)discoveries + some more wine, whisky, or mead. The annual cosplay day at the Verbeke Foundation , one of the strangest ( yet fascinating ) musea in Belgium, had yet again many of those ingredients in its recipe. Elke week tussen Samhain 2025 en Ostara 2026 werd er van minstens één boek de eerste pagina voorgelezen door een baardige fotograaf en de video daarvan werd op Tiktok ( en soms ook op Instagram ) gepost. F antasy A nime C omics T oys S pace Wie had kunnen verwachten dat dit eenvoudige letterwoord dat in 1993 welgeteld 40 bezoekers lokte naar een miniconventie boven een Gents café over de jaren zou uitgroeien tot het grootste evenement van de Benelux in zijn soort? En toch zakken de fans van Manga, Star Trek, LoTR, Star Wars, Aliens & Stargate vanuit de ganse Benelux, Frankrijk, Duitsland en de UK jaarlijks naar Gent af. Met meer dan 7000 waren ze in 2007. Geen genrefan die eens op FACTS is geweest wil het daarna nog missen. De fanclubs hebben er een sport van gemaakt om steeds indrukwekkendere props, decors, kostuums en shows op het publiek los te laten. Net zoals het bezoekersaantal groeide, zag de organisatie tevens het aantal handelaars op de conventie in zulke mate stijgen dat dit jaar een extra ICC-verdieping wordt aangeslagen.
