Appirits released Sacred Orb quests and some Changes in Einherjar

Tokyo, Japan – 24 April 2013 – Recently Appirits, the Japanese publisher of the turn-based browser game Einherjar – The Viking’s Blood has announced some brand new quests and changes for Einherjar players since 24 April 2013 GMT+8.

After the said date, 4 new correlated quests will be available for players at the bar in Hedeby City. They need to complete the first quest to receive aSacred Orb then use it for next quests in order to receive valuable God Blood Crystals. Blood Crystals are very rare items that can boost certain stats of an Einherjar warrior. Odin, Thor and Freya Crystals are stronger than Valkyrie Crystals so those updated quests are certainly beneficial for players.

Moreover, there will be no time limit for the 4 new quests so players can go for them anytime they want.

In addition, the game publisher has decided to reduce constructing and upgrading time for in-game buildings by 75% to help boosting players’ progress in developing and expanding lands. Otherwise, players still can use Power to boost the time of activity to quickly gain the levels of their wish.

Event - Les fêtes médiévales de Binche (2024)

Collab - Verbeke Foundation cosplay day 2024

A few weeks ahead of the first cosplay shoot day of 2024 in the Verbeke Foundation I had wisely estimated that I would run into & make pictures of 10% of all cosplayers. That was a gross misestimation.. I think it's closer to 5%. Every edition organizer Geert seems to double the number of participants. I still don't know how he manages, but kudos for gathering somewhere around 240 participants. Event - Elftopia 2021

The 1st costume event in.. nearly 2 years? You can't believe the ecstasy of opening those tickets in the mail, getting that CovidSafePass in time and hearing that it would not get cancelled as feared ( unlike Castlefest ). Preparing the cameras. Getting ideas for shots. Actually smiling. Thank you Elftopia . However there was a little hick-up. I could blame it on traffic jams making us arrive extremely late.. but it wasn't that. It was exactly as feared and predicted in this post : I didn't dare to make photos. Have I gotten scared of walking up to people for a picture? Have I lost so much self-confidence? Did I stop trusting my technical instincts? Did I start doubting my gear? Haven't I talked to live strangers for that long? Is this what people call a panic attack or anxiety? I guess a bit of all of those. Meade helped a bit. Event - Internationale carnavalsstoet Hasselt

Yes, I know: I had promised to cover only one carnaval's parade per year. But I have a great excuse: a brandnew camera fell into my lap to experiment with and I needed an event for testing. So no, it was neither the free booze, nor the happy people, nor the smoutebollen that lured me to Hasselt.. those are simply perks of working . Just to be clear: that Sony A9III is a magnificent camera with crazy specs. I will probably consider buying the 2nd or 3rd generation of its Global Shutter sensor technology, but for now it's great but not needed for what I shoot. Sports and wildlife shooters are the intended targets and they'll enjoy it greatly.  Hasselt carnaval has a very enjoyable parade wth several international participants & loads of confetti. The 2024 parcours had some very long, straight streets.. perfect to test a huge 300mm f2.8-lens. Thes most excillerating was however something tiny & strictly personal: I really felt good that day and jumped right

Body-Art Festival

In een klein dorpje nabij Mechelen verzamelen zich sinds 2000 ieder jaar opnieuw een keur aan bodypaint- en make-upartiesten voor de laatste grote Europese wedstrijd van het jaar: de felbegeerde Body Artist Award. Op 12 november kan het publiek deze levende kunstwerken bewonderen tijdens het ganse scheppingsproces, zichzelf laten grimeren, deelnemen aan workshops en de mooiste bodypaints vastleggen op de gevoelige plaat. Eigenlijk zijn er zo 4 titels om te verdelen: één voor de mooiste airbrush, één voor het beste spons & penseelwerk, één in de categorie special effects en een laatste voor de mooiste festivalfoto. In elke discipline mogen amateurs, studenten en (semi) pro's zich met elkaar meten. Wees er dus tijdig bij, alvorens deze creaties voor altijd verdwijnen onder een warme douche.
