Housemarque Releases Self-Funded Dead Nation DLC Road of Devastation

Independent Finnish developer Housemarque, the critically acclaimed studio behind Super Stardust HD, Outland, Dead Nation and the upcoming Furmins, have today released the first DLC for 'PlayStation® Network exclusive smash hit Dead Nation in North America. The “Road of Devastation” DLC offers gamers new gameplay content and challenges both in single player and co-op modes. The DLC will be released on September 28th in Europe and other available regions.

"Road of Devastation” DLC was continuously in the development since the launch of the original game for over eight months. This represent as the single biggest development effort on DLC Housemarque has done to further support a game after the release.

“After the initial release of the game, we talked with Sony and made a unique arrangement to bring the DLC to the market. We funded the development and Sony published the additional content," says Housemarque CEO Ilari Kuittinen. “We certainly hope that our fans will appreciate our efforts as we think ‘Road of Devastation’ DLC offers hours of fun for both veteran and novice Dead Nation players.”

Dead Nation DLC "Road Of Devastation" will present you with a variety of new tools and equipment to dispose of your enemies, while introducing new enemies and obstacles encountered in unique new environments. Since the launch of the game, Dead Nation has been a top selling PSN title having fans all around the globe. After being included in the Welcome Pack offering, the game has reached over 3.8 million downloads.

The DLC is priced at $3.99 and pricing for other territories can be found in the local PlayStation stores. The DLC contains both single and co-op modes (offline and online) and add new Trophies as well. Collab - Verbeke Foundation cosplay day 2024

A few weeks ahead of the first cosplay shoot day of 2024 in the Verbeke Foundation I had wisely estimated that I would run into & make pictures of 10% of all cosplayers. That was a gross misestimation.. I think it's closer to 5%. Every edition organizer Geert seems to double the number of participants. I still don't know how he manages, but kudos for gathering somewhere around 240 participants. Event - Internationale carnavalsstoet Hasselt

Yes, I know: I had promised to cover only one carnaval's parade per year. But I have a great excuse: a brandnew camera fell into my lap to experiment with and I needed an event for testing. So no, it was neither the free booze, nor the happy people, nor the smoutebollen that lured me to Hasselt.. those are simply perks of working . Just to be clear: that Sony A9III is a magnificent camera with crazy specs. I will probably consider buying the 2nd or 3rd generation of its Global Shutter sensor technology, but for now it's great but not needed for what I shoot. Sports and wildlife shooters are the intended targets and they'll enjoy it greatly.  Hasselt carnaval has a very enjoyable parade wth several international participants & loads of confetti. The 2024 parcours had some very long, straight streets.. perfect to test a huge 300mm f2.8-lens. Thes most excillerating was however something tiny & strictly personal: I really felt good that day and jumped right

Event - Elftopia 2021

The 1st costume event in.. nearly 2 years? You can't believe the ecstasy of opening those tickets in the mail, getting that CovidSafePass in time and hearing that it would not get cancelled as feared ( unlike Castlefest ). Preparing the cameras. Getting ideas for shots. Actually smiling. Thank you Elftopia . However there was a little hick-up. I could blame it on traffic jams making us arrive extremely late.. but it wasn't that. It was exactly as feared and predicted in this post : I didn't dare to make photos. Have I gotten scared of walking up to people for a picture? Have I lost so much self-confidence? Did I stop trusting my technical instincts? Did I start doubting my gear? Haven't I talked to live strangers for that long? Is this what people call a panic attack or anxiety? I guess a bit of all of those. Meade helped a bit. Spending some time on the event finally got me clicking again.. but by that time the fair was closing its gates. So I returned home with on

Event - Uchronicité 2023

It snowed on December 4th and that's rather special down here, but still we made it back & forth for a very short visit to Uchronicité , the Belgian steampunk gathering. Like before, it's an extremely friendly event where you take some time to chat with people.
