Activision Unleashes New Details on X-Men Origins: Wolverine
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Dec 09, 2008: Activision Publishing, Inc. has released new details on X-Men Origins: Wolverine, whose titular hero is one of the most popular Marvel characters of all time. The video game, scheduled for release in May 2009, coincides with the global debut of Twentieth Century Fox's release of its feature film, X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, which is also based on the famous Marvel character.
From the award-winning studio Raven Software, the video game enlists players to experience the tormented origins of Wolverine, from his escape of the Weapon X facility to the jungles of Africa and beyond. The game is currently in development for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, PLAYSTATION3 computer entertainment system, Windows PC, Wii home video game system, Nintendo DS, PlayStation2 computer entertainment system and PSP system, and is not yet rated by the ESRB.

"X-Men Origins: Wolverine amps up the action by bringing to life Wolverine's wholly unique skills such as his brute strength, regenerative mutant abilities, and indestructible adamantium claws and skeleton in an immersive experience that is fitting to one of the most enduring and popular characters of all time."
X-Men Origins: Wolverine is an epic action-adventure featuring a true-to-character Wolverine gameplay experience that takes gamers through and beyond the movie's storyline. Set in a variety of vivid real-world locales, the title challenges players to hone their animal instinct as they uncover hidden dangers, hunt and destroy enemies, and take on seemingly insurmountable situations while discovering the truth about Wolverine's tragic past. With razor-sharp adamantium claws unsheathed, the future X-Man enacts lightning-quick combat, evasive maneuvers, in-depth combo attacks, and an array of brutal finishing moves. Wolverine doesn't just deliver massive damage, either - he also takes it, thanks to his mutant regenerative power that heals him in real time right before the player's eyes.
The title is in development by Raven Studios and Amaze Entertainment.

Event - Les fêtes médiévales de Binche (2024)

Collab - Verbeke Foundation cosplay day 2024

A few weeks ahead of the first cosplay shoot day of 2024 in the Verbeke Foundation I had wisely estimated that I would run into & make pictures of 10% of all cosplayers. That was a gross misestimation.. I think it's closer to 5%. Every edition organizer Geert seems to double the number of participants. I still don't know how he manages, but kudos for gathering somewhere around 240 participants. Event - Elftopia 2021

The 1st costume event in.. nearly 2 years? You can't believe the ecstasy of opening those tickets in the mail, getting that CovidSafePass in time and hearing that it would not get cancelled as feared ( unlike Castlefest ). Preparing the cameras. Getting ideas for shots. Actually smiling. Thank you Elftopia . However there was a little hick-up. I could blame it on traffic jams making us arrive extremely late.. but it wasn't that. It was exactly as feared and predicted in this post : I didn't dare to make photos. Have I gotten scared of walking up to people for a picture? Have I lost so much self-confidence? Did I stop trusting my technical instincts? Did I start doubting my gear? Haven't I talked to live strangers for that long? Is this what people call a panic attack or anxiety? I guess a bit of all of those. Meade helped a bit. Japan, het is een wereld die we als Westerlingen nooit zullen vatten. We lezen massaal de manga’s en de hentai. We kijken naar de anime. We worden overweldigd door de films die zich wentelen in extreem geweld, ongrijpbare horror en magistrale, epische schoonheid. Takashi Miike, Hideo Nakata en Akira Kurosawa. Event - Internationale carnavalsstoet Hasselt

Yes, I know: I had promised to cover only one carnaval's parade per year. But I have a great excuse: a brandnew camera fell into my lap to experiment with and I needed an event for testing. So no, it was neither the free booze, nor the happy people, nor the smoutebollen that lured me to Hasselt.. those are simply perks of working . Just to be clear: that Sony A9III is a magnificent camera with crazy specs. I will probably consider buying the 2nd or 3rd generation of its Global Shutter sensor technology, but for now it's great but not needed for what I shoot. Sports and wildlife shooters are the intended targets and they'll enjoy it greatly.  Hasselt carnaval has a very enjoyable parade wth several international participants & loads of confetti. The 2024 parcours had some very long, straight streets.. perfect to test a huge 300mm f2.8-lens. Thes most excillerating was however something tiny & strictly personal: I really felt good that day and jumped right

Body-Art Festival

In een klein dorpje nabij Mechelen verzamelen zich sinds 2000 ieder jaar opnieuw een keur aan bodypaint- en make-upartiesten voor de laatste grote Europese wedstrijd van het jaar: de felbegeerde Body Artist Award. Op 12 november kan het publiek deze levende kunstwerken bewonderen tijdens het ganse scheppingsproces, zichzelf laten grimeren, deelnemen aan workshops en de mooiste bodypaints vastleggen op de gevoelige plaat. Eigenlijk zijn er zo 4 titels om te verdelen: één voor de mooiste airbrush, één voor het beste spons & penseelwerk, één in de categorie special effects en een laatste voor de mooiste festivalfoto. In elke discipline mogen amateurs, studenten en (semi) pro's zich met elkaar meten. Wees er dus tijdig bij, alvorens deze creaties voor altijd verdwijnen onder een warme douche.
