Event - Elftopia 2023
Time is the deadliest and stealthiest of killers. Old age will come for many of us and if we're really lucky, all it will do is prevent us from covering 3 different events in one weekend and from carelessly drinking during each of those. Alas for many people aging is much worse.
Elftopia was my 3rd event of the weekend and I'm one of those lucky ones.. although I was already in full zombie-mode after Friday night and 100% exhausted after enjoying the Antwerp Pride Parade.
To throw an axe and drink some mead were my goals for Elftopia.
I would have loved to add pancakes to that list.
Because eating pancakes in a kilt while drinking a single malt and throwing axes at rotten apples balancing on the heads of those who destroy our forests, hunt our wildlife and plunder our Mother Earth, is the most manly thing one (m/v/x) can do on this planet.

For those I ran into before or after twisting my ankle and curing it's discomfort with Tramadol & mead:

The fair itself?
Repeating myself year after year is tiresome so I'll just list a few of the positives.
△ Loads of kind people & you run into sooo many familiar faces.
△ The mead shortage at the bar got resolved.
△ Some awesome costumes, even some not-seen before creations.
△ Got to park next to the entrance & arrived after the queues at the entrance were gone.
△ Prima Nocta is great music made by awesome people. Always a party.
△ Dinosaurs & hot-air balloons.
△ It only rained once on Sunday.. however.. during a real Summer this would not have made the positives list!
△ Enough sun and acceptable temperatures.
△ Got to do magic behind the Alphabet stage.
△ I enjoyed the food.. yet.. was still hungry afterwards.
△ Somebody was very happy & popular in her Shiny Charizard/dragon-suit.
△ Got support from nice humans eventhough I wasn't always in the kindest mood.
△ .. Fill in what you enjoyed because it's different for everyone.
Apparently I'm still going to Comic Con Brussels & finally returning to FACTS before it's time for Uchronicité.
There are some groupshoots & private shoots planned. We'll see.
And most other Autumn weekends are filled with photofairs, videoshoots & events for work.
The scripting for 3 Warhammer 40k short videos is done. Funding them is the next challenge.
