Event - El Mundo Fantasia 2023

Mondo Verde, the resort where El Mundo Fantasia takes place, has some of the prettiest locations to make images of the renaissance fairs in the Lowlands. I'm not going to repeat the complete overview of sights I listed in this article last year. You can either read it there or discover it yourself on another edition.

Instead let us focus on what happened.

Wow, that was an intense & dramatic sounding phrase.
Don't be scared. What actually happened was that people saved my day. I know, coming from an asocial ambivert, that's a bold & weird statement.

It was just one of those days.
It was too hot (31°C). The 1st 90minutes inside were too crowded. I was feeling too tired & was completly exhaused from long, hard weeks of nearly 24/7-work. I was more focussed on pushing a wheelchair uphill than on photos. My 1st T-shirt was soaked before my 1st shot. All nice spots were swarming with photogs and I went through an extremely introvert phase that day. I had made too many photos in the last weeks and all I could think about was the endless backlog. Creativity was feeling sub zero. No ice-cream or pancakes nearby.
Each of them small & unimportant feats not worthy of torpedoing one's mood.. but still all I wanted was sit down peacefully, eat a bit and go home. And I would have gone home.. No remorse. No regrets. Just go. Just one of those days.

Alas somebody asked for a photo.
And some furries spontanously wanted to pose with the wheelchair.
While I was standing up to make the picture I noticed some other costumes that I knew I wanted a picture from.
And people were happy with their photo.
This got me moving away from that quiet hiding spot.
Some more people asked for a photo or spontanously did the craziest things or accepted to do something silly when I asked.

Creativity was slowly flowing again. Step by step my mood got better and I even stepped up to a few people again. Although I did not make many photos, nor photographed many people.. and I made no use of those splendid locations.. those human beings saved my day.

Let's take a break from events, work & social meetings till Castlefest & Elftopia.
Let's just take a breather, hike under the sun & focus on getting some backlog done.
It's needed.
