Venus - Moon - Jupiter
Tonight – 1st December, 2008 – there is a lovely Venus Moon Jupiter combination. It occurs in the cape of Sagittarius and will be visible low in the west just after sunset. For those of you at northern latitudes have a look between 16:35 – 18:00 in the western sky. For those of you in the south you will see it about 30 minutes after sunset depending on what that local time will be. In the northern hemisphere the Moon and Venus both pass underneath Jupiter. Another way of looking at this is to say that Jupiter “is over the moon”. Thus Venus which is a bright evening star at the moment will be radiating Jupiter and the Moon as the moon-god “Sin” will also be bestowing a blessing on Jupiter.
