Terra-Flex Battlemat - The Moorlands


Zuzzy Miniatures has released a sneak peek of their upcoming Terra-Flex mat, The Moorlands.

Sculptor James Hubbs has been working on it, and the mat should be ready for release by late January or early February. The Moorlands battlemat will be a part of the Verdant Fields line of terrain they will be producing.
Zuzzy Terra-Flex mats are paintable and flexible latex-rubber gaming mats with an ultra-realistic sculpted surface. Terra-Flex gaming mats are available now through the Zuzzy Miniatures website.

Event Report Probleem

Bericht aan iedereen & vooral aan de organisatoren met wie was afgesproken dat er een fotoreportage op hun evenement zou worden gemaakt. De volgende 6 weken zullen er beduidend minder reportages gemaakt kunnen worden omdat onze fotograaf van de tenen tot aan de knie met zijn rechterbeen in het gips zit. Event - Geek Village Genk (2024)

A heads-up: on November 17th 2024 we'll be hosting a videobooth on Geek Village ( Thor Central, Genk ) in room 12 ( named Trovao ). It will be the 1st time we put the 360° videobooth on a fair.. so it's somewhere between in between scary & exciting. Since it's the 1st time and we have a full room at our disposal, we might set up a small photobooth aswel as a free bonus for our clients. Come visit us! Collab - D'Ursel cosplay day (2024)

Eventhough many September days in 2024 feel more like November days, on Sunday the 15th it was good to be outside. Outside in the park of castle d'Ursel in Hingene the infamous Geert had gathered yet again a mass of cosplayers & photogs and as always I had hidden my set, this time behind an old wall. No line of sight onto the castle, but perfect for " Cosplayers with natural light " & some " Extreme shoot through ". Why not use the castle as a backdrop, you might ask?  It's a pretty castle, yes. It has one really interesting side, alas it was too crowded to build a set & get a constant, uninterupted view. On a quiet day I'll gladly combine the front of the castle with an epoque gown.. but that Sunday was NOT a quiet day. Do you have 5€ left in your pocket? That's enough to pay the entry fee for this annual gathering of Belgian steampunks. Or is it steampunkers? Or vaporistes? Meh.. Choose whatever you fancy. There are two kind of genre events in the Benelux: The big ones. Nearly all of them are owned by large corporations ( multinationals even ), held in big venues and these have become éxtremely expensive for both visitors and vendors. For the current entry prices you expect to be WOW-ed and entertained at a high level. High expectations are always difficult to meet. And there are a few tiny events trying to stay afloat. Just like for the big events the prices to get something organised have gone through the roof. But they mostly work with volonteers instead of a corporate overhead workforce consisting of more high payed managers than workers and they don't need to bring home truckloads of cash to please the shareholders & investors. First of all we only spent a few hours of Saturday afternoon on the fair. It's Maanrock and the combination of a crazy CFX-concert and the Versuz-stage on Friday made SaturDAY a bit shorter than expected. But this fair also coincided with the gigantic Gamescom & the always highly anticipated Viencon. Cosplayers had so much to chose from.
