Fringe's Walter & Astrid visit MCM Expo


One of the America's most popular TV series FRINGE -which will be returning for a 3rd season with the 2nd currently being broadcast on SKY1- will be visiting the May 2010 London MCM Expo in the form of John Noble the inimitable and eccentric Dr Walter Walter Bishop & Jasika Nicole who plays his counterpart Astrid Farnsworth. John Noble is known for many roles including that of Denethor in the Lord Of The Rings trilogy, currently he plays the Vincent Price inspired Dr Walter Bishop bringing his dark but insightful view in the way he helps to solve the various mysteries that are tackled! Jasika Nicole who plays Astrid along side Walter Bishop in FRINGE will alsobe in attendance both days. -- mcmexpo.net

Event Report Probleem

Bericht aan iedereen & vooral aan de organisatoren met wie was afgesproken dat er een fotoreportage op hun evenement zou worden gemaakt. De volgende 6 weken zullen er beduidend minder reportages gemaakt kunnen worden omdat onze fotograaf van de tenen tot aan de knie met zijn rechterbeen in het gips zit. Event - Geek Village Genk (2024)

A heads-up: on November 17th 2024 we'll be hosting a videobooth on Geek Village ( Thor Central, Genk ) in room 12 ( named Trovao ). It will be the 1st time we put the 360° videobooth on a fair.. so it's somewhere between in between scary & exciting. Since it's the 1st time and we have a full room at our disposal, we might set up a small photobooth aswel as a free bonus for our clients. Come visit us! Collab - D'Ursel cosplay day (2024)

Eventhough many September days in 2024 feel more like November days, on Sunday the 15th it was good to be outside. Outside in the park of castle d'Ursel in Hingene the infamous Geert had gathered yet again a mass of cosplayers & photogs and as always I had hidden my set, this time behind an old wall. No line of sight onto the castle, but perfect for " Cosplayers with natural light " & some " Extreme shoot through ". Why not use the castle as a backdrop, you might ask?  It's a pretty castle, yes. It has one really interesting side, alas it was too crowded to build a set & get a constant, uninterupted view. On a quiet day I'll gladly combine the front of the castle with an epoque gown.. but that Sunday was NOT a quiet day. Event - Uchronicité 2022

Do you have 5€ left in your pocket? That's enough to pay the entry fee for this annual gathering of Belgian steampunks. Or is it steampunkers? Or vaporistes? Meh.. Choose whatever you fancy. There are two kind of genre events in the Benelux: The big ones. Nearly all of them are owned by large corporations ( multinationals even ), held in big venues and these have become éxtremely expensive for both visitors and vendors. For the current entry prices you expect to be WOW-ed and entertained at a high level. High expectations are always difficult to meet. And there are a few tiny events trying to stay afloat. Just like for the big events the prices to get something organised have gone through the roof. But they mostly work with volonteers instead of a corporate overhead workforce consisting of more high payed managers than workers and they don't need to bring home truckloads of cash to please the shareholders & investors. First of all we only spent a few hours of Saturday afternoon on the fair. It's Maanrock and the combination of a crazy CFX-concert and the Versuz-stage on Friday made SaturDAY a bit shorter than expected. But this fair also coincided with the gigantic Gamescom & the always highly anticipated Viencon. Cosplayers had so much to chose from.
