Broadsword Adventures, like the other Rattrap games, is a heroic skirmish game. Players take on the role of the hero and his loyal followers. With just a handful of miniatures required, you don't need to paint up a full army before you can start playing.
Like all the demo versions of their games, these rules are free to download. In this 26-page download, you get all the basic rules of the game, as well as one of the scenarios from the book and some sample characters to get you started.
Though the rules are written for fantasy, the archetypes are easily adaptable to Ancients, Dark Ages and Medieval gaming.
