Song of Gold and Darkness is the first expansion for the popular Song of Blades and Heroes fantasy skirmish rules. It includes complete rules for dungeon adventuring such as: Rules clarifications and expansions; 11 new Terrain types; 18 new Special rules for your models; four new warband advances; Necromancers, Sorcerers and Summoners; rules for treasure, climbing, bashing down doors, lock picking, traps, light and darkness, movement and combat; potions, magic clothes, magic weapons and jewelry; four dungeon scenarios; guidelines for solo dungeons; rosters for 156 new monsters and warriors, including Dark Dwarves, Dark Elves, Hobgoblins, Snakemen, Giants, Angels, Demons, Were Creatures, and classic dungeon dwellers such as Brain Devourers, Eye Monsters and Gargoyles.

It was during a warm November month in the Osaka -region that I finally started appreciating Autumn and the warmth of it's colours .  This year the extreme drought is giving September the first hint of those same colours. Event - Fantasyfest Rijswijk (2026)

Let me be clear about something: Fantasy Fest is a fantasy themed indoor market featuring some amazing concerts. And the concerts were exactely the reason for travelling on a Saturday to Rijswijk:  Kelten Zonder Grenzen at the opening and Ye Banished Privateers after closing. Just perfect! Obviously there was time in between for a grand tour to visit the neverending rows of stalls ( saying hi to vendors & artists! ), for some mead & for a break to play a TTRPG-demo at Dutch20 . Roleplaying as cats was a nice experience thanks to the DM. Photographing cosplayers? Nah , only a handful. Once you've been there, you know about the lighting situation in De Broodfabriek, eventhough the lights on the stalls are a pretty sight, the rest is Deep Darkness .
